Red Dead Redemption 2 'Announcement' September 28th

A possible release date announcement from Rockstar Games for the highly anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2 looks like it could be a week away.

A teasing image from the official Rockstar twitter account includes the date September 28th with a time stamp of 11AM ET, and it's suspiciously using Red Dead Redemption's font style and art backdrop. Dun dun dun.

There's strong speculation that it will be the drop of a new trailer, possibly teasing the story of the upcoming sequel, but that it might include a narrowed down window or even a concrete date for launch. Currently Red Dead Redemption 2 is in development for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with a PC version heavily suspected to drop later. So far the notoriously tight-lipped studio is only teasing this tweet.

The cowboy gunslinger was originally due in Fall 2017 before it was pushed into mid-2018. The original never did make it to the PC unless you count Sony's PlayStation Now service that lets you play streamed versions of over 500 PlayStation titles directly to Windows PC for a subscription.
