Edge Of Eternity Release Delayed, Slips Into 2017
Indie JRPG Edge of Eternity won't be making it this year as Midgar Studio announces it has slipped into 2017, but they did provide some fresh eye candy.
This particular JRPG is inspired by the classical roots of the genre but features modern western influences, blending fantasy and sci-fi in a branching story. The developer is based in France so they know a thing or two about Western influence, and are total JRPG nerds.
"Edge of Eternity is inspired by the great JRPG tradition for the strategical turn-based combats and the characters progression and by the latest success of western RPG for the vast open worlds to explore and the non-linear stories," describes Midgar Studio.
They mix real-time and turn-based together in Edge of Eternity's battle system, and weapons will evolve along their own item levelling joined by a crystal enhancement skill-tree with multiple branches. It features a big open world with the story leaning in the direction your decisions take it.
Edge of Eternity releases on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in 2017.
